Medical Front Office- Medical Assistants will check in, schedule and register our patients to plan for their appointment by reviewing records and charts the day before the appointment to make sure all required documents are there, insurance is verified, all testing is completed, and all results are obtained.
MA will work in front desk region as well, executing prior authorizations, check outs, referrals and scheduling appointments.
MA will also perform check out duties:
follow-up on referrals, making sure appointments are kept, that specialists have information about patients before their appointment, and that your physician receives the specialist's recommendations.
MA may provide basic triage and must maintain confidentiality according to the agency's policies and procedures.
Maintain updated, signed, dated and legible notes that document the changing needs of the patient.
Completes annual educational requirement.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time.
Applicants with experience in the EMR e Clinical Works are given preference.
