- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing - Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems - Verify patient information and insurance coverage for billing purposes - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding Skills:
- Proficient in medical billing procedures - Familiarity with ICD-10 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work as part of a team Note:
