4K a year JOB FUNCTION The Warehouse Lead position is a key operations position within our flooring company.
We are looking for a self-starter who is willing to multi-task, be a team player with the willingness to grow and advance.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small flooring warehouse.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving deliveries, preparing orders, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing the warehouse to ensure optimal operation.
This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Receive Deliveries:
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
Order Preparation:
Pick, pack, and label products accurately for dispatch to customers.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe for employees and visitors.
This includes daily trash removal, sweeping, and periodic deep cleaning.
Showroom Upkeep:
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the showroom, ensuring products are displayed attractively and priced correctly.
Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly inspect and perform necessary maintenance on warehouse equipment, such as greasing forklifts, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Inventory Management:
Conduct inventory checks and organize stock within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Forklift operation certification preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics is a plus.
