Position SummaryImplement and continually improve process control techniques in a consumer products manufacturing environment. This is accomplished by identifying and tracking key critical production parameters, applying statistical process control techniques, executing variation reduction projects and continually reporting data and progress to Engineering and Operations Management teams. Provide manufacturing support in all areas of production of formula and finished goods.
AccountabilitiesSupport achievement of key metrics, including quality, safety, productivity, cost through process changes and improvement.
Apply process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, design of experiments, lean manufacturing waste elimination studies, process capability studies, development and implementation of control plans, design and process (FMEA) and process control data management.
Participation on productivity and process improvement initiatives and teams.
Development of new equipment performance requirements.
Preforms OQ and PQ of new processeses and equipment.
Create and modify associated cGMP paperwork as needed (examples include:
SOPs, Bill of Materials, etc.) and train on modifications as needed.
Initiate investigation activity and troubleshoot problems in processing; discovers causes of non-conformance, i.e., slow throughput, poor quality and/or unsafe design.
Applies sound engineering principles to improve existing equipment and processes by reducing waste, increasing throughput, reducing energy consumption or eliminating human interaction through automation.
Acquires and maintains a detailed understanding of the product, process and equipment.
Resolves process problems utilizing established problem solving methods, technical resources and by working with manufacturing associates, management, and outside vendors, to effect minimum downtime and maximum process yields.
Assists in the development and execution of training plans
Provides support and maintains open communication across functions.
Ensures that hourly established production goals and standards are being met in conjunction with facility goals.
Creates and maintains batching cards in a paper system.
Creates and maintains batch cards in SAP MII electronic format.
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Demonstrates and utilizes continuous improvement techniques to exceed minimum standards
Review performance data to identify needed areas for improvement
Required Skills and ExperienceB.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
2 to 5 years relevant experience required.
Experience with liquid compounding and batching, liquid fill production, and FDA regulations
Basic knowledge in principles of compounding and liquid filling.
Good technical understanding of mechanical skills.
Experience and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles or techniques is desired
Working knowledge of intermediate statistics.
Ability to apply and understand Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control, Statistical Quality Control.
Must demonstrate ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with cross functional groups
Must posess the ability to take sound decisive action while effectively weighing risks
Analytical, problem solving and information gathering skills.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office, , and SAP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in cGMP is desired.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
